Sunday Worship

More important than any of the things we do here, is what God does among us. Here He enters our lives, so often burdened with sin and cares, through His Word of pardon and peace. God speaks His Covenant love in Christ into lives subjected to voices that daily attempt to draw us in so many directions.

Each Lord’s Day, God calls us into His presence, renews and restores us in our covenant relationship with Himself, and fills us with praise. God then speaks His Word through the Holy Scriptures and Sacraments, which reveal Christ when they are read and faithfully proclaimed and administered among us. In His Word we find His will, His truth, and His love for us. When we gather together each Lord’s Day, God speaks to us from that Word and blesses us and sends us back into the world spiritually strengthened and blessed.

If you are seeking to grow in your relationship with God and with His people, there is room for you at Trinity. We hope that you will come and join us for Sunday worship, fellowship, and Sunday school.

Sunday School

We believe the knowledge of God’s Word to be of utmost importance for individuals and families. Children’s Sunday school classes, for all ages, are offered in order to assist and reinforce the instruction parents are giving their children at home. The Great Commission Publication Sunday School Curriculum is used by most classes.

Bible and topical studies are offered each week for adults. Our goal is that through the study of God’s word, we adults will be “adequately equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Mercy Ministries

We are committed, as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, to serve our church family, our neighbors and our community through ministry of both word and deed. At Trinity, we understand that we are saved by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Yet as members of the Bride of Christ (His Church) we are called to serve those in need. We are not saved through any act or acts of mercy which we perform, but are saved through the perfect work of mercy performed by Jesus Christ on our behalf. Yet, our desire to serve is a fruit born out of the love we have been given for the One who first loved us. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross of Calvary was the ultimate, eternal act of mercy.

Long before that ultimate, merciful act of sacrifice, as Jesus traveled and taught concerning the coming of His kingdom and the offer of salvation through faith alone, He performed deeds of love and compassion. These miraculous feedings, healings and other ministries served to confirm the authority of His words and the restoring power of His kingdom. As believers in the Son of God, we are called to mercy ministry in the same spirit of love and compassion modeled by Christ, enabled by the same Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus’ ministry.

One example of Jesus’ teaching about performing acts of mercy is found in Matthew 25:31-46. As our Lord taught upon the Mount of Olives about the coming final judgment, and the separation of believers from unbelievers, he said to the believers, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”

At Trinity Presbyterian Church, we seek to be a compassionate, serving body, eager to provide hope and encouragement to those in need through our mercy ministry. If you are in need spiritually, emotionally, or physically and don’t know where to turn, we hope you will contact us so that we may minister to you. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and seeking a place to apply your gifts in ministries of mercy to our community, we invite you to visit Trinity and see if God might be calling you to join us in our biblical commitment to serve those most in need of mercy.
